With the up coming academy award (maybe) and since I have been a film fan for quite a long time I have decided over the next few months to try and see all the movies that have won Best Picture since they started giving out awards in 1928 (see the list at wikipedia). I feel like I need to get a grasp on the history of films and filmmaking in order to appreciate the newer stuff that is coming out now and in the near future.
