Well its been almost 6 months since i have posted here and I figured I should start posting again. So till i think of something to talk about take a look at some of the pictures I took over that last few months:

Last weekend I opted to avoid the Steeplechase Crowd and go somewhere i would feel more comfortable, the Tennessee Renaissance Festival.
Besides gnawing on a Turkey Leg and wishing for a jouster de-horsing I took some pictures:

My Close Encounter with a Harris Hawk. It landed right beside me during the Birds of the Gauntlet Show.

In light of the recent events at the Scales Elementary School field trip incident I propose a question: What kind attention do you think this would be getting if the Virginia Tech thing didn’t happen?Â
I personally think it would have blown over and I am pretty sure the parents would not be all over national TV talking about it. I also don’t think the teacher would be getting suspended without pay. I do think it was done in poor judgment and probably went to far but there is no need for it to be as sensationalized as it is right now.Â

This is a picture I took last July when I went to Oregon to vist a friend (bigger version). It was taken at the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center about 7 Miles away. The cloud looking things inside the creater is steam being vented. The area had just opened up after a month or so of high activity. It’s stitiched this together from 4 photographs.

A tear brought to my eye by the One Shining Moment montage that CBS plays after the final game. Notice all the Vanderbilt highlights especially Skuchas’ block and Byers Crying. Also they put Jason Ray in there. He’s the North Carolina Mascot who died tracically after being hit by a car.

I hate Florida but ….I had to root for the SEC over the Big Ten plus it sounds good to say that we beat the National Champions:
Its been a good run for Vandy… Very respectable after losing to Furman and Elon.

Midwest:
Oregon will beat Florida in the Round of 8 to goto Final Four.
I picked the 5-12 upset of Old Dominion over Butler
Winthrop over Notre Dame
Georgia Tech over UNLV as my first 7-12 upset
West:
UCLA will fall, in guessing to Pittsburgh.
Villanova will beat Kentucky (hate to pick against a SEC team but KY inst that good)
My other 7-10 upset is Gonazaga over Indiana
Kansas will survive.
East:
Vanderbilt will beat Washington state but that is all the further they will go.
Belmont will get waxed.
Not sure Arkansas belongs but i picked them to beat USC then lose.
North Carolina will survive.
South:
Ohio State will breeze through this region.
Louisville is the sleep team of the tournament.
Tennessee doesn’t deserve the 5 seed i hope they will lose and Long Beach State can do it. I picked Tenenssee then out.
Memphis has no conference schedule so they will fall. Early.
My Final 4:
Oregon vs Kansas
Ohio State vs North Carolina (will be a killer game)
North Carolina will win over Kansas.
